Leveraging the power of Izumo's experiences

My study as a Ph.D. student was on the effect of Theobromine (a compound found in cacao seed) on rodents in the Environmental Physiology Department with the guidance of Prof. Osamu Shido. I was trying to find out the memory improvement mechanism of rodents on theobromine supplementation using the latest molecular biology techniques.
I am now working as a Post-doctoral Associate at the Department of Psychiatry in Yale University, USA. I am doing research on how early life stress affects the different developmental timepoints and what happens in the later stage of life.
It was a wonderful part of my life’s journey. The time I spent in Shimane University was an enriching experience both personally and academically. I learned at the best category of Science in Shimane University and have been able to translate the acquired practical knowledge to my present career. My learning about research techniques, time-fashioned work, work responsivity, and helping peers etc. has made my journey way better and smooth.
Shimane is a wonderful place to live. There are many wonderful professors and staff around the university. They are very helpful and will try to make students feel at home. Acquiring science knowledge is really very comfortable here in Shimane University. So those who want to choose Shimane University as their next academic port of call, I strongly believe that you will find it a big leap in your career.
