My fruitful years spent studying at Shimane University

Hello, I am Tumurgan Zolzaya from Mongolia. I am a 4th year Ph.D. student. I belong to the endocrinology research group of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  We are studying female hormones' secretion and mechanisms. The Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis is essential for follicular development and ovulation.
In my department, all the teachers and staff members are incredibly supportive and friendly. I think that this university has a lot of potential with many high-quality researchers and clinicians but unfortunately very few people in my country know about it. I would like this university to become more active internationally and to facilitate exchanging student programs with Mongolian universities in a more active manner.
Shimane University is very kind to international students. They afford us a beautifully furnished dormitory while being flexible with tuition fees. Living here, students may come to feel a connection with the wonderful nature, history, and culture of Japan. As such, they can devote themselves to studying and learning at Shimane University in a peaceful environment with rich and abundant nature.
Also, I have found Izumo City to be very calm and clean. Living in this city for 5 years, I think it’s the most comfortable years ever in my life. I can truly focus on my research and study. I think it’s also one of the safest cities because during these years of living in Izumo, I have never faced any kind of danger. I will cherish my time in this beautiful city. I am sure that anybody who wishes to study here will spend a fruitful time.
