 A) Basic research

1. By identifying polymorphisms / gene mutations of disease susceptibility and related proteins using COPD spontaneous mouse and human tissue / blood samples, we make it possible to prevent the onset and treat the high-risk group at an early stage.
2. A molecular biological study of Nontuberculous Mycobacteriosis will be conducted using the mice model, and a new treatment method will be proposed.
3. We investigate the resistance mechanism of anti-cancer drugs and focus on the overcoming of resistance and personalized treatment, and are establishing resistant cell lines for lung cancer and malignant Pleural Mesothelioma.

B)  Clinical research

1. Molecular epidemiological investigation and clinical trial of COPD, Bronchial Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease, Bronchiectasis and Nontuberculous Mycobacteriosis
2. Diagnosis of respiratory diseases using dynamic X-ray equipment
3. Management of multicenter clinical research on older Lung Cancer patients
4. Management of multicenter clinical research on cancer-associated Thromboembolism
