In the region of oral and maxillofacial surgery, there are many patients who suffer from bone deficiency due to oral and maxillofacial tumors (benign or malignant) or maxillofacial trauma, etc. We are vigorously researching new jaw bone regeneration treatment methods based on regenerative medicine (development of next-generation bioresorbable plates and application of computer-assisted surgery). We are also conducting basic and clinical investigations into “Bone Neuro Oncology”, the study of the interaction between cancer and sensory nerves. In addition, we also focus on epidemiological research related to oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral health care in order to elucidate the relationship between the oral cavity and the whole body.
