Procedure to Entrance into the University

1. Application for applicant eligibility screening
   Please have undergone the screening for applicant eligibility by the time the application procedure starts. The necessary documentation is as follows:
• Application form for applicant eligibility screening
• Reference materials for demonstrating applicant eligibility (double-sided printing)
• Self-evaluation of language proficiency
• Application form (application guidelines)
• Certificate of academic results (issued by university of graduation)
• Examination admission card・Photo-affixed admission card
  (see attached application guidelines)
• Certificate of graduation (issued by university of graduation
  
  Please submit any other documents that are requested of you.
  
  
2. Transfer of entrance examination fee
   Please transfer the entrance examination fee of 30,000yen within the designated time period.
   
   
3. Entrance examination
   The exam usually takes place in the afternoon of examination day. There are two exams, English A, and English B
   
   
4. Announcement of results
   Examinee numbers of successful applicants will be uploaded to the Shimane University website.

5. University entrance procedure period
   After announcement of results, documentation for university entrance procedures will be sent to the person in question if in Japan, or to his/ her supervisory teacher if in country of origin. Please carry out the entrance procedures within the designated time. The entrance fee is 282,000yen. Even in the case of applying for exemption from payment of entrance fees/ tuition fees or postponement of tax collection, you need to complete the entrance procedures by the end of the designated time period. Once you have received notification of acceptance, you may contact the Student Support Officer of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine, Shimane University, for details.
   
   
6. Entrance ceremony
   The schedule for the entrance ceremony day is included in the documentation for university entrance procedures. The venue for the entrance ceremony is in Matsue city. The entrance ceremony will end in the morning, so in the afternoon, please be sure to attend the orientation at Izumo campus. During the orientation, we will explain how to register for classes.
