Oral microbiome has been a risk factor of periodontal diseases and dental caries. In addition to oral healthcare, some research have suggested the contribution of oral microbiome to the progression of systemic diseases. In this project, we have investigated whether pathological oral bacteria impairs the systemic health. The aim of this study is to develop new ways to treat patients with systemic diseases.
