We conduct research on:
- Curricula, clinical capability, evaluation methods, and clinical clerkship.
 - Community medicine education towards the cultivation of human resources that are responsible for community medicine.
 - The recruitment and establishment of doctors for areas that have a doctor shortage.
 - The health promotion and disease prevention of community residents.
 - The effective acquisition of knowledge of respiratory medicine including that of chest x-ray photos. We hold lectures and study groups in the community, and are involved in DVD-production and publications.
 - We are also conducting research to investigate when and how medical students’ motivation declines.
