Details

  1. It is thought that what triggers the onset of psychiatric disorder is varied. In recent years, it has become clear that with some childhood illneses, there is the risk of developing psychiatric disorder later in life, but a treatment method has not yet been established. From experimental animal to clinical research, our department’s research is seamless, as we endeavor to uncover the onset mechanism of the psychiatric disorder whose cause stems from childhood illness.

  2. It is thought that chronic stress can lead not only to psychiatric disorder, but can cause several other types of disorder, too. Currently, with stress tests mainly being conducted through questioning on paper, making objective evaluations is difficult. Our department is investigating whether stress levels can be measured through urine components.
