A Guide to Treatment at the Emergency Center

Overview

Our emergency care doctors work together in collaboration with the doctors of all other clinical departments when facing the initial treatment of emergency care patients. A system is in place whereby specialist doctors can be called at any time should specialist treatment be needed. Also, blood tests, CT scans, angiographies, and emergency examinations such as endoscopes can be performed around the clock. We provide advanced medical care using top-of-the-range medical equipment. Also, with a helicopter pad on campus, we can readily accept patients from all around the prefecture.

Our doctors at the Emergency Center (members of the Japanese Association for Acute Medicine), are specialists, supervisors, and qualified internists who are devoted to the provision of high-quality acute medical care and who are engaged in the supervision of interns and trainees.

Illnesses dealt with at the emergency center.

We deal with all kinds of symptoms and injuries, slight or life-threatening, from children to adults. Specifically, we accept patients with headaches, chest pain, abdominal pain, paralysis and numbness of the limbs, palpitations, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contusions, and sprains. Moreover, we provide 24-hour emergency medical care, even in the case of emergency heart surgery

Among the patients who are brought to this Emergency Medical Care Center, some are critically ill and in need of immediate treatment. Please understand that this can result in the delay of other treatments or referral to another hospital. If you begin to feel unwell in the waiting area, do not hesitate to say so.

As this hospital is an affiliated educational institution, we also train future medical professionals. As such, there are trainees and medical students involved in the medical practice. However, please understand that they are always training under the supervision of superior medical professionals. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
